I edited History of June Jam, a documentary-style event film produced and shot by WulfenBear Media. My role focused on shaping the story in post; reviewing multiple interviews, selecting the strongest moments, and structuring the narrative to move naturally from atmosphere to history.
The piece opens with a highly stylized, sensory-driven intro designed to capture the spirit of the event. Layered chimes, ambient nature sounds, and rhythmic cuts introduce the environment before building into energetic footage of attendees, dancing, and nighttime celebrations. Speed ramps, transitions, and pacing shifts were used to create an immersive, free-spirited tone that reflects the event’s vibrant, laid-back culture. The film then transitions into a documentary short format exploring the origins and evolution of June Jam.
In addition to editing, I worked from existing B-roll and developed a sourcing list of additional visual assets to strengthen the storytelling and historical context. Final color grading was completed by WulfenBear Media.
This project highlights my ability to:
- Shape documentary narratives from multi-interview footage
- Design immersive, tone-setting intros through sound and pacing
- Use transitions, speed ramps, and rhythm to convey event energy
- Identify and source supporting visual assets to strengthen storytelling
- Balance stylized openings with structured documentary editing
The final film blends atmospheric event storytelling with clear historical narrative, creating a cohesive and engaging viewing experience.
